DIALING RODIAL: Erin O’Connor says she cannot do without Rodial’s Bee Venom Cleansing Balm. “I love the texture and how it is a gel formula as opposed to being heavy oil. I wear industrial makeup on a day-to-day basis and the balm is very good at cleaning the makeup off without harming my skin,” she said during an anniversary party for the brand at Harvey Nichols in London earlier this week.

The skin-care brand was founded in 1999 by Maria Hatzistefanis, and the sculpting makeup range was launched last November, exclusively at Harvey Nichols. The line is now available in Saks Fifth Avenue in New York as well as at the beauty chain  Bluemercury in America.

Hatzistefanis noted that 65 percent of sales from the Nichols counter comes from the makeup range.

The Contouring Powder Compact, with its silver case and leather detailing, is a bestseller. “There is a huge potential for the business to really focus on makeup and really grow this in a bigger scale,” Hatzistefanis said.

The beauty executive has her eyes set on Hong Kong, Munich and Milan for her next makeup counters.

Like Hatzistefanis, O’Connor has no plans to slow down: “You would think that with a 17-month-old son in tow, I’d be taking some time to reflect, but I’ve just been continuing to work full-time. I’m happy to be a willing nomad and it’s been really nice to come back into fashion and to actually explore beyond that by working with brands that I know and recognize.”
