PAIRING UP: “The perfect duo is collaboration,” said Ambra Medda, when asked what the name given to her collaboration with Roger Vivier to showcase the brand’s fall collection inspired in her.
“People’s limitations drive them to seek help or inspiration from somewhere or someone else, and in that moment magic is created,” said the cofounder of L’ArcoBaleno, an online platform for craft and design, and one of the creators of the Design Miami event.
“It’s what I would call a good match,” said the house’s creative director Bruno Frisoni.
“It’s good to have a beautiful face with a beautiful mind,” he continued, referencing the multitalented Medda, who fluently speaks five languages, including Mandarin.
“I’m very interested in people and culture, and when you speak to people in their own native language, there’s something that you don’t get otherwise,” Medda noted.
Indeed, there were several Chinese attendees at the party held Monday evening at Vivier’s Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré boutique to celebrate the collaboration. These included television presenter Linda Li and actress Bai Baihe, who mingled with the likes of Catherine Deneuve, Karine Viard, Aymeline Valade, Gilles Bensimon and Fifi Chachnil.
