MOBILE SHOP: Sachin & Babi has ventured into e-commerce with the relaunch of its Web site. Built with Shopify, the e-commerce platform launches with the brand’s fall collection and features a shoppable video in collaboration with Cinematique. As for the look of the site: “Everything is streamlined,” said creative director Babi Ahluwahlia, citing a clean, straightforward aesthetic. “We want to broaden our audience, and we’re excited to be able to connect directly with our customers… We want to know what pieces they’re responding to and loving right off the bat.” The brand, which currently sits in 470 doors worldwide, has been growing 30-40% every year for the last four years, with 30% of the brand’s revenue coming from overseas. It projects sales from e-commerce at $750,000 to $1,000,000 for the 2015 fiscal year.
