MRS. HILFIGER’S HANDBAGS: Tommy Hilfiger took to the sidelines on Wednesday evening, letting his wife Dee Ocleppo take center stage, figuratively speaking, at a cocktail party hosted by Saks Fifth Avenue in honor of the handbag designer. The fete, held at the department store’s Café SFA, celebrated the launch of Dee Ocleppo handbags while benefitting the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, with 10% of the designer’s handbag sales, up to $2,500, being donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. “I’m thrilled,” said Ocleppo. “Have you seen the bags downstairs?” The café itself was decorated with Dee Ocleppo handbags, as well, including its limited-edition limited edition pink calf-hair bag designed to support the BCRF ($100 from every purchase of the bag will be donated to the organization). Dressed for the occasion in a bright pink Valentino dress, Ocleppo chatted with guests, including Frederic Fekkai, Leonard Lauder and Robert Kraft, over passed canapés and glasses of Prosecco. Hilfiger stayed close to his wife’s side, stopping every so often to admire the product at hand. “Isn’t it great?” he said, stroking a furry red satchel. “I’m so proud.”
