SEA WONDER: C. Wonder is heading to the beach this summer. The retailer opened a pop-up store on Saturday in Southampton, N.Y., at 5 Main Street. On June 9, a pop-up shop will bow at 16 Federal Street in Nantucket, Mass. C. Wonder’s summer collection includes summer beach totes; lighthouse, starfish and sand-dollar pillow covers, and wicker picnic baskets. Both stores will have ice-cream socials on Saturdays, a complimentary candy bar on Sundays and free balloons and tattoos all weekend long. On Saturday in Southampton, C. Wonder staffers distributed gift cards for free flip-flops to the first 150 vacationers they encounter. They will do the same on June 8 in Nantucket.

C. Wonder, one of the lifestyle retail brands being developed by Christopher Burch, chief executive officer of J. Christopher Capital, operates stores in New York’s SoHo neighborhood; Garden State Plaza in Paramus, N.J.; The Westchester in White Plains, N.Y., and Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City, N.Y. In September, C. Wonder is planning to open an 8,000-square-foot flagship at The Shops at Columbus Circle at the Time Warner Center in Manhattan.
