POP-UP CULTURE: Seilenna, the New York-based swimwear line founded by Annelies De Rouck, is heading out east this weekend. De Rouck has teamed up with Uhuru Beach, a summer pop-up shop at 11 Indian Wells Highway in Amagansett, N.Y., to host a meet-and-greet and cocktail party on Saturday, August 22, to celebrate Seilenna’s launch at the store. “It is such a cool space with a fantastic mix of vendors,” De Rouck said. “It feels like a slice of Brooklyn or downtown Manhattan in the Hamptons.”
In fact, the concept shop and events hub — opened by Uhuru design, the Brooklyn, N.Y.-based furniture brand — features accessories, furniture and clothing exclusively from Brooklyn and New York designers and artists, such as Michele Varian, Woolrich and Flower Girl. Located inside a barn, the shop will remain open until Sept. 6.
