NEW HUES: Solange Azagury Partridge will showcase her new fine jewelry collection — dubbed Chromance, as a tribute to her affinity for color — at her New York boutique on Madison Avenue. It follows the designer launching the collection at her boutique in Mayfair’s Carlos Place earlier this month, an equally vibrant locale complete with rainbow-patterned carpets and Pepto-Bismol pink walls. During the London preview, Azagury Partridge said the collection’s moniker stemmed from her “love of the word chromatic.” Standout pieces in the collection number Chlorophyll, an intricate emerald and diamond necklace that looks like a twine of leaves, and a similar necklace done in red rubies, called Colorblind Chlorophyll, a play on how those who are color–blind “can’t see red or green,” Azagury–Partridge said. There are also chunky rings shaped liked lotus flowers, set with rubies and emeralds, as the designer said she’d wanted “lots of juicy cabochon stones,” in the collection, through to more delicate pieces as in Chromantic, a necklace made up of tiny, multicoloured gemstones set in blackened 18 carat white gold.
