STYLE TRIP: Stefani Greenfield hopes her fans will hop on board the “Curations Caravan” when it launches Thursday on HSN. The show, which has a travel element, is the next iteration of “Curations with Stefani Greenfield,” the HSN program she launched in 2009.
With sets that evoke popular destinations on her itinerary, such as Hawaii, Greece and Capri, Greenfield mines the exotic locales for product inspiration. For the Hawaii-themed June 18 show, straw hats, tote bags with a coral motif, flower print scarves, lace tops and fringed ponchos will be for sale. There will also be maxidresses, convertible skirt to tube dresses, jumpsuits, tunics and cover-ups in tropical prints. “They are very democratic, easy silhouettes,” Greenfield said. “Anything that drapes on the body works well.” Prices for apparel range from $50 to $100.
“I’ve been going to Greece for 29 years,” said Greenfield, who co-founded Scoop before selling the business in 2008. “When I speak about a place and its people, it’s from my heart.”
Greenfield’s career has taken her from retail at Scoop to wholesale as chief creative officer of the now-defunct Jones Group and back to retail as creative brand director at Diane von Furstenberg. “Caravan will teach women how to tie the perfect scarf and the best way to scrunch a hat,” she said. “I want to work with great manufacturers who can produce my ideas of what’s integral to a woman’s closet.”
