SUNGLASSES AT NIGHT: Drew Barrymore was the surprise guest at the party that Sunglass Hut and its ambassador Georgia May Jagger threw to mark the brand’s first season of sponsorship of London Fashion Week.
“I really wanted to be here, so I made it happen…I have to be on a plane in a few hours, so this will be my London Fashion Week moment,” said Barrymore, who said she’ll head back to England soon. “What’s not to love? The style, the food, it’s all incredible.”
She said Dishoom, an Indian food chain, “is one of my favorite restaurants in the world.”
Other guests at the party on Saturday included Immy Waterhouse and Laura Bailey.
Earlier in the day, Sunglass Hut unveiled its second campaign with Jagger, a punk-themed series of images. “They wanted to do that whole Camden vibe and I absolutely loved that,” Jagger said.
The campaign’s theme was artfully translated into a punked-up tea party with graffiti-covered walls, an alternative band of violinists and a table full of fuming nitrogen cocktails, black macarons and Victoria sponge cakes.
