LONDON — Swarovski is to be the principal sponsor of the British Fashion Awards, the British Fashion Council said Tuesday. As part of the partnership, the crystal firm will create the awards to be presented during the ceremony, set to take place Dec. 1 at the London Coliseum.
Swarovski last sponsored the British Fashion Awards in 2009, when the event celebrated its 25th anniversary.
Nadja Swarovksi, member of the Swarovski executive board, said the awards would recognize “not only…design talents, but also the creatives, models and tastemakers who are such a powerful force in setting the global fashion agenda.”
Also among the awards’ official sponsors are American Express, Marks & Spencer and Mercedes, while the ceremony’s official presenting sponsors are Canon, MAC Cosmetics, Toni & Guy and Vodafone.
