TAPIS ROUGE: Designers lamenting the dearth of leading ladies among the films in competition at next month’s Cannes Film Festival can breathe a sigh of relief: Rumor has it Australian actress Nicole Kidman will be joining the jury, which will be presided over by Steven Spielberg. The lineup of films competing for the coveted Palme d’Or award features strong male-led casts, with Robert Redford, Benicio Del Toro, Michael Douglas and Matt Damon among those competing for “best actor” honors.
