BRIDAL ALICE: Temperley London has expanded its bridal offering into a full line, with the launch of its first twice-yearly collection. In April, a full collection of bridal designs, called Ophelia 2012, will launch at Temperley’s own bridal salons in London, Dubai and Los Angeles and at select bridal stores, marking the first time the collection has been available at wholesale. The 20-piece collection comprises both entirely new designs and dresses inspired by past Temperley creations. The collection is priced from $3,370 for the Chloe gown in draped satin through to $10,000 for the Crystal Amara dress, a tulle dress with crystal flower appliqués. Jeweled headpieces, embellished sashes, veils, shrugs and boleros are also part of the collection. In addition, a collection of the label’s classic bridal dresses will be offered from season to season, while Temperley also carries a number of ready-to-wear gowns that can be worn as bridal dresses.
The Ophelia collection will launch with retailers including Net-A-Porter, Shopbop.com and Mark Ingram Atelier and Kleinfeld in New York from April. Temperley London will also present the Ophelia collection at New York International Bridal Week in April.
