LOVERS’ LINE: French label The Kooples will launch a special app for lovers and couples who want to communicate confidentially. The Kooples Blackout app, which launches on Oct. 21, offers users the opportunity to interact one-on-one via a blackout feature that blocks other phone activities that would disrupt or distract from romantic — or racy — conversations. Using the “glitch mode,” couples can also send pictures of themselves to each other. When the images arrive, they’re blurred. Different parts of the image then come into focus when the user touches the screen. “The idea is to be always connected — when one is away and off-line — you can still be together and live a true moment for two,” Kooples founder Raphael Elicha told WWD. The free application is available on the Apple Store and Google Play Store.
