The Natori Company is adding legwear to the label’s assortment through a deal with Infinity Classics.
The New York-based company will present its first collection — hosiery, leggings, tights and socks — during the February market and it will debut in stores this fall. Natori already offers ready-to-wear, eveningwear, lingerie, sleepwear, fragrance, home textiles and accessories.
In line with the designer’s sensibilities, the legwear will feature signature embroideries and embellishments that coordinate with Natori’s other collections. The legwear will also be sold via a high-end retail plan, as is the case with her other offerings.
Josie Natori, chief executive officer and chief creative officer, said, “Legwear is an important addition to The Natori lifestyle concept, and we are excited to be working with a company who understands the core values of our brand.”
Kenneth Natori, president of The Natori Company, said, “Our mission is to bring art into life with an East/West sensibility,” going on to praise Infinity Classics’ “entrepreneurial spirit and production relationships.”
Founded in 1991, Infinity Classics, a third-generation business with roots going back to 1957, is a global manufacturer and distributor of legwear for women, men and kids across various distribution channels. Joe Steinberg, ceo and founder of Infinity, said of the company’s partnership with Josie Natori: “The legwear business has not seen this kind of new introduction in quite some time. Our launch could not have come at a better time.”
