Tiffany & Co. has entered New Zealand. The American jewelry firm opened a store today at Auckland’s Britomart shopping mall.
The boutique, measuring 4,628 square feet, occupies the entire ground floor of 33 Galway Street.
It includes rooms designated for fine jewelry, fashion designs and bridal items.
The store is retrofitted with a private shopping salon and also sells home items and accessories.
While the first store in New Zealand, Tiffany presently operates nine units in neighboring Australia.
Said Glen Schlehuber, vice president and managing director of Tiffany & Co. Oceania: “We are very excited to open our doors in Auckland today. The store represents a wonderful opportunity to showcase the excellent quality and craftsmanship of our Tiffany collections and provide new customers with a world-class shopping experience.”
Added international senior vice president Philippe Galtie: “Tiffany has established a strong presence across the Asia-Pacific region, and New Zealand represented an exciting and untapped market for us. In fact, in nearby Australia, Tiffany has become one of the most important luxury brands with nine stores across the continent. We have long wanted to be in New Zealand, as Auckland is one of the world’s growing luxury destinations, and are pleased to have secured a premier retail location in Auckland’s Britomart.”
