FASHIONABLE SUPPORT: Basketball team Olimpia Milano, which last June won the Italian championship title, has yet another fashion supporter. The team, which is owned and sponsored by Giorgio Armani, has signed an agreement with Italian textile company Tollegno 1900. The company will support the so-called “Red Shoes” for a year.
Tollegno 1900’s decision to team up with the Olimpia Milano is part of a strategy developed by Lincoln Germanetti, who took the post of chief executive officer last year after the death of his father, aimed at increasing the visibility of the company on a national and international scale.
As part of this growth plan, Tollegno 1900, which also controls the Lana Gatto, Ragno and Julipet brands, is expanding its retail network, that already includes a flagship store on Milan’s prestigious Via Verri.
