BRITISH ALLIANCE: Topshop Unique has partnered with Wedgwood, known for its fine china and porcelain accessories, on a clothing collection.
Topshop’s design team translated some of Wedgwood’s most recognized designs into clothing for the spring collection. Wedgwood’s Wild Strawberry pattern was reworked into a print incorporated on an airy blouse, named Blackbird.
In addition, a pair of high-waisted, washed jeans, shown on the spring runway, were inspired by the jasper shade of Wedgwood’s famous Jasperwear pattern, originally developed in 1774.
In return, Wedgwood has created a limited edition teacup and saucer featuring the reworked print that appears on the Topshop Unique Blackbird blouse.
“The marriage of two such celebrated British brands feels very fitting and the reworked prints perfectly encapsulate our girl of the season,” said Kate Phelan, Topshop’s global creative director.
The limited-edition teacup and saucer are priced at 75 pounds, or $108, and are available to purchase online on both the Topshop and Wedgwood sites.
