SHINING UP: The Verdura and Belperron company continues to assert itself as a player in the fine jewelry market. Today, the joint jewelry firm has announced the promotion of James “Jim” Haag to the position of managing director.
Haag first joined the company in 2006 from Harry Winston, as vice president of sales and business development. He was instrumental in the curation of a 2014 Verdura retrospective and the 2015 launch of Belperron.

Haag will report to firm president Nico Landrigan. He will oversee marketing and communications operations, as well as sales and product development.
Prior to joining Belperron and Verdura, Haag worked as the head of worldwide sales and marketing for Harry Winston. During his seven-year tenure, Haag was responsible for multiple buzzed-about sales — including the pink diamond purchased by Ben Affleck for then-fiancée Jennifer Lopez.
Prior to Winston, Haag held various marketing roles at DeBeers.
