COSTUME PARTY: Vincent Darré and Arielle Dombasle are adding a dash of  extravagance to Giuseppe Verdi’s classical opera. The interior and fashion designer, whose latest project was Paris’ new Montana hotel, and the French-American actress and singer teamed up for “La Traviata” that will be performed at the Hôtel National des Invalides in Paris from Sept. 8 to 12. (The show sold out when it was performed in seven French historic landmarks over the summer.)

Darré created costumes and décor while Dombasle directs the show. “The costumes are a tribute to 19th-century French caricaturist Granville,” Darré told WWD. “It’s like a fairytale. I had lots of fun [doing them].”
