WALKING THE LINE: Ralph Rucci will be front and center Oct. 19, when he is honored with a star on the Fashion Walk of Fame. Celebrating his 30th anniversary in business, the Philadelphia-born designer creates collections under the Chado Ralph Rucci label. In 2002, he became the first American designer in more than 60 years to be invited to show in Paris by the French Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture. The late designer Donald Brooks will be this year’s other Walk of Fame inductee at the Bryant Park Grill event. In his heyday, Brooks, along with Bill Blass and Geoffrey Beene, were known as “the three Bs of fashion.” One of the first Americans to design clothes for theater and films, Brooks earned a Tony nomination and three Oscar nominations, and won an Emmy for his creations for Lee Remick in the 1982 television flick “The Letter.”
