WEXNER GETS TOP HONOR: Leslie H. Wexner, chairman and chief executive officer of L Brands, will receive Chief Executive magazine’s lifetime achievement award at the CEO2CEO Leadership Summit, held on Dec. 4 at the New York Stock Exchange.
Wexner, 77, is the longest-serving ceo of a Fortune 500 company. He started The Limited in 1963 with a $5,000 loan from his aunt and nurtured that investment into a $10 billion company whose brands include Victoria’s Secret, Bath & Body Works and Henri Bendel. Over the years, he has cultivated and spun off top retail brands such as Lane Bryant, Abercrombie & Fitch, Lerner New York, Express and his flagship property, The Limited.
Thanks to his support, Ohio State University in 2012 named the Wexner Medical Center in his honor.
