WILL YOU LOVE HIS NEW LOOK?: George Zimmer is plotting his return. The founder and former chief executive officer of The Men’s Wearhouse, who was dumped from his post as executive chairman and corporate spokesman of the retailer in June 2013, is planning to start a new business.
Zimmer is not open to discussing exactly what type of business it will be, but sources said it will be an online tuxedo play. A Zimmer spokeswoman would only describe it as “a new company focused on delivering a high-tech-meets-high-touch experience.” She said the business will be in the apparel space, but won’t provide any further details at this point. Zimmer is expected to make the big unveiling early next year.
