Rose, meanwhile, said in a statement: “Retailing has been my life, and I can’t imagine being in any other industry … it is therefore a great honor to be recognized by my fellow retailers with membership of the World Retail Hall of Fame for a career that I have thoroughly enjoyed and continue to enjoy, in my roles in the businesses I am now involved with.”

All four individuals will be honored at a World Retail Hall of Fame lunch held in London during the World Retail Congress’ annual summit, which runs from Sept. 19 through 21.

Ian McGarrigle, chairman of the WRC, said: “This year’s inductees are without doubt leading names in the retail world, and we are delighted to be able to honor them with membership at this year’s congress in London.”
