YELLOW ZEALOTS: “I’ve been to fashion shows before, but this is different,” said Lance Armstrong, who sat in the audience at the inaugural Dress 4 Yellow fashion show and luncheon Thursday in Dallas benefitting LiveStrong Lance Armstrong Foundation and Cook Children’s Medical Center. “It’s all yellow.” Twenty-nine designers including Jessica Simpson, Ralph Lauren, Zang Toi and Diane von Furstenberg contributed sunshine fashions to the inaugural benefit, but the top seller was iconically Texan — a pair of handmade yellow rose Justin cowboy boots went for $3,000. A bare majority of women donned vivid yellow for the occasion, but there was also plenty of hot pink, nude, white and black. Armstrong credited co-chairmen Lee Nagel and Jennifer Applbaum with the stellar turnout. “They are passionate people,” he said. “You have to have those leaders or it’s hard to pull these things off.”
