Raffaello Napoleone is expected to be named interim president of Yoox Group. Napoleone, who is chief executive officer of Florence-based trade show organizer Pitti Immagine, said Wednesday that the final decision will be taken by the company’s board on April 30.

Napoleone would assume the title, currently held by the company’s founder and chief executive officer Federico Marchetti, until September when the merger agreement between Yoox and Net-a-porter, revealed Tuesday, will be finalized. Napoleone will maintain his role at Pitti Immagine. “I think that this operation between Yoox and Net-a-porter is very interesting and important for the two companies and for all those brands that have invested in the online business,” said Napoleone.
