The nontraditional bride is a term used each season to categorize bridal offerings that don’t fall within classic gown silhouettes. You can call this the season of the wedding pants. As young brides become braver, designers have evolved their offerings to match — from the sharply tailored jumpsuit at Austin Scarlett and the smart pants at Elizabeth Fillmore, to the risque beaded number at Galia Lahav – there was crossover appeal that straddled the bridal ready-to-wear distinction.
