The celebrity-turned-fashion-designer phenomenon has moved beyond Victoria Beckham and Jessica Simpson to reality stars and musicians designers, according to Googlers.

The search engine released its top searches for 2016, and the top 10 searches for fashion designers featured people who landed in the public eye for some reason other than fashion.

Among the trending fashion designers on Google in 2016 were reality stars Angela Simmons, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, actress and singer Zendaya, rapper Kanye West, singer Beyoncé and real estate executive and future first daughter Ivanka Trump.

The top “trending” queries on Google are the searches that had the highest spike in traffic over a sustained period, compared with 2015. The lists are designed to reflect the news and conversation of 2016, rather than terms that are generally popular from year to year.

Designer Rachel Roy was at the top of the list, but that might not have been merely because of interest in women’s contemporary fashion. Roy became embroiled in drama in April when an Instagram post of hers seemed to suggest that she was the “Becky with the good hair” referenced in Beyoncé’s “Lemonade,” which in turn seemed to indicate that Beyoncé’s husband, Jay Z, had an affair with her. Beyoncé, for her part, was number six on the list.

The Row’s Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen, one of the original and most successful of the actors-turned-designer set, were number two on the list. They were nominated for two CFDA awards this year. Also on the list were Indian designer Anita Dongre and Sonia Rykiel, who died in August.

Among the fashion-related queries, Googlers are career-minded and chasing trends. The top search was “How to cut sleeves off a shirt?” Other searches in the top 10 include “How do I start modeling?” “How to become a fitness model?” and “How to become a fashion designer?”

On the Oscar fashion front, the top red carpet dresses belonged to Jennifer Garner, newly single in a black Atelier Versace gown; Jennifer Lawrence in a sheer black Dior and Charlize Theron, also in Dior.
