The look was created by stylist Siobhan Dillon in honor of Perry’s fiancé, the outspoken British comedian and West Ham supporter Russell Brand. The maroon and robin’s-egg blue bustier, ruffled boyshorts and garter belt were made from three soccer shirts. “I thought it would be cool to try to make it as football-oriented as possible,” says Dillon. “So I used the collars along the top of the brassiere and used the two badges on the front.”
Cool indeed. The racy ensemble was such a big hit with West Ham fans that the team commissioned Dillon to make 50 look-alike styles, to be sold through the soccer club for 300 pounds (about $483).
