John Graham has been named president of Speedo USA, a division of PVH Corp.
The industry veteran succeeds Jim Gerson who left the position several months ago. Graham was formerly senior vice president of sales for the swimwear brand.
“John brings a depth of experience in the sports industry to Speedo USA, and we are thrilled to have him lead the business,” said Ken Duane, chief executive officer of Heritage Brands and North America Wholesale for PVH. “He possesses the ideal blend of sales expertise, success in building strong teams and intuitive sports business sense. We look forward to watching Speedo USA grow under his leadership.”
Graham called Speedo “one of the most respected brands in the industry, deeply rooted in its heritage but poised for continued success in and around the water, and in the marketplace.”
Prior to joining Speedo USA, Graham spent two years as the senior vice president of sales for surf and snowboarding apparel brand Quiksilver, focusing on e-commerce and wholesale sales in North America. At Quiksilver, he oversaw a 160-person sales, operations and customer service team.
Before that, he had been senior vice president of commerce for Easton Bell Sports, which was sold to Bauer Performance Sports. During his two years there, Graham led sales and customer service, and worked on new brand positioning for the company’s baseball and hockey businesses.
Graham began his career at Nike, where he spent 18 years in different sales-oriented roles in several countries. When he left the activewear firm, he was commercial director for Nike Action Sports. He had also served as director of apparel sales for North America for Nike.
PVH holds the license for the Speedo brand in North American and the Caribbean.
