The Tommy Fazio era at Project has come to an end.
The former president of the trade show has left the company, WWD has learned. Fazio confirmed his departure, saying he was taking some time off to decompress before deciding on his next move.
Fazio joined Project in 2012 and was also in charge of men’s wear for the trade show’s parent company, Advanstar Fashion Group. Advanstar has since been purchased by UBM plc.
Before joining Project, Fazio was men’s fashion and trend director for Nordstrom. He had also been president of Simon Spurr, men’s fashion director of Bergdorf Goodman, and vice president of men’s collections at Calvin Klein.
During his tenure at Project, Fazio created the Tents at Project, a well-received collection of high-end brands. He was also keen on improving retail relations for the attendees. He has held several positions at the company over the past four years, the most recent being president and fashion director of the UBM Fashion Group. Erik Ulin is now president of Project.
