Melissa McCarthy

The Melissa McCarthy Web site is now live — right in time for the holidays.

Originally slated to launch in August, the site was delayed, but is now open for business under the MelissaMcCarthy.com name. The site features the Melissa McCarthy Seven7 holiday collection of denim and woven bottoms, woven blouses, dresses, T-shirts, activewear, sweaters and outerwear. The line, which boasts contemporary detailing, a focus on fit, quality fabrics and technology-driven fit solutions is offered in sizes 4 to 28.

“I am so proud to finally offer my collection on MelissaMcCarthy.com,” said the actress and comedienne. “I am a big fan of shopping online. I love trying something on in the comfort of my own home and the easy return policy is a lifesaver. I’m excited to have a way to speak directly with my customer and offer her pieces that are not available at other retail sites. I hope to create a place where we can all celebrate fashion and just how amazing women truly are.”

The site features McCarthy and models in looks from the collection and links to her Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest pages. There is also a fit guide and a link to retailers that carry the line.

The Emmy award winner teamed up with Gerard Guez’s Sunrise Brands to create a fashion line, including accessories and beauty products for women that launched for fall and is being sold at department and specialty store in the U.S., Canada and the U.K.

Before McCarthy turned to performing, she had trained as a fashion designer and had left her Illinois farm to attend the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. It was there that she befriended footwear designer Brian Atwood, who suggested she might have a career in stand-up comedy.
