The show is scheduled to take place from July 7 to 9 at the Montjuïc exhibition site and will showcase an array of about 250 contemporary labels from all over the world.
With support from the Barcelona City Council, the show will be sectioned into categories: The Cathedral area will showcase higher-end brands; The Loft, for trend-driven brands; The Warehouse, for denim-based labels, and The Outerspace for streetwear brands and sneakers.
At a press conference in Barcelona on Thursday, the mayor of the city, Jordi Hereu, pointed out that this new show is a “personal project that will help Barcelona become a reference point for international trade fairs in contemporary fashion.”
