PARIS — German sporting goods maker Puma said it entered into a long-term partnership with Infiniti Red Bull Racing.

As of Jan. 1, 2016, Puma is to outfit Red Bull’s F1 team with performance racewear, footwear and teamwear, while also exclusively produce and distribute licensed replica, fanwear and lifestyle footwear, apparel and accessories collections for global distribution, the company said on Tuesday.

“Infiniti Red Bull racing is a great team with massive appeal, and this is another positive step in our desire to become the fastest sport brand in the world,” said Puma’s chief executive officer Bjørn Gulden, alluding to its global marketing campaign “Forever Faster” marking the brand’s transition from lifestyle back to sports.

Christian Horner, team principle of the Infiniti Red Bull Racing team, noted that “Red Bull Racing and Puma enjoyed a successful relationship between 2007 and 2010, during which time we won our first driver’s and constructor’s championship.”

“The licensed collection that will launch in 2016 is looking fantastic. I’m sure the fans are going to love it,” he added.
