Sorel, known for its winter boots, said earlier this year that it was entering the outerwear market. On Sept. 1, the first collection launches at its flagship on 14th Street in New York.
The Sorel Capsule Apparel Collection — composed of parkas and jackets for men and women — has many of the same features found on its line of footwear such as heavy-duty clasps and triple-sewn stitching as well as “chevron quilting reminiscent of the traction design on Sorel’s signature sole,” the company said.
The color palette of the collection includes sea salt, olive green and new cinder, among others. “Continuing our legacy of protection coupled with style, each jacket features an insulation of 800-fill power goose down, as well as a variety of top quality linings and shells for optimal warmth this winter,” the company stated.
The jackets and parkas in the collection range in price point from $875 to $925.
