Channeling “Ann’s little-known, very hidden Bohemian side,” creative director Lisa Axelson infused the brand’s classic Americana with some crafty romance, such as white lace, eyelet, crocheted knits, large-scale floral prints and paisley. The result was less unabashed free-spirit than polished femininity with a note of whimsy, as Axelson tempered the boho with tailoring — a trench cape and wrap dress — and fresh takes on denim, using chambray and chambray colors on striped denim pieces. This was also the first time the company showed spring and summer together, thus eliminating one appointment from the schedule in the next couple of months. Yay!
