Boy Meets Girl has forged a partnership with the Atlanta Hawks’ National Basketball Association team, releasing an exclusive Pride fashion collaboration.
The first of its kind for an NBA franchise, the collaboration aims to promote inclusion for all genders and sexual orientations.
Available to consumers both in-store at Hawks Shop and online at hawksshop.com next week as part of an ongoing program at the Atlanta Hawks store, Boy Meets Girl x Atlanta Hawks will unveil a unisex collection, including hoodies, Ts and totes retailing for between $20 and $56.
Stacy Igel, founder and creative director of Boy Meets Girl, said, “I grew up cheering for my hometown Chicago Bulls and saw first-hand the power of basketball to unite. This partnership is a natural one for me as I have worked with Pride events throughout the world (including Helsinki Pride week this past summer) and with athletes who care about social issues deeply, like Dwight Howard, Sloane Stephens, Victoria Azarenka and many more.”
Amy Serino, Atlanta Hawks vice president of brand merchandising said, “Joining forces with Stacy and Boy Meets Girl was important to me, as well as to our organization. We felt her brand brings awareness to many causes and unites people together which aligns with our mission as a team and organization. We came together to make a difference with Boy Meets Girl and continue our awareness as a company.”
