Wrangler has extended its association with former NFL quarterback Brett Favre.

The Hall of Famer, who has long been featured in advertising for the company’s jeans, will now be the new face of its Riggs Workwear brand. As part of the deal, Favre will appear in national advertising, promotions and in-store signage for the industrial grade apparel collection starting this summer, coinciding with Father’s Day in June.

“As the NFL’s all-time winningest quarterback, Brett Favre is the epitome of hard work, so it’s only natural that this close friend and longtime spokesman for Wrangler serve as the face of our collection designed for hardworking craftsmen and laborers,” said Craig Errington, vice president of marketing communications for Wrangler Specialty Apparel. “His dependability, toughness and down-to-earth demeanor make him the ideal partner for this collection.”

Favre said he’s often worn Riggs for years while working on his property.

Riggs’ tops and bottoms retail for $20 to $60 and are designed for men who work long, hard hours in tough conditions.
