“It’s crisp, fresh and simple — it all started with denim and is going back to American sportswear,” said creative director Kevin Carrigan, as he presented his spring lineup for Calvin Klein, Calvin Klein Jeans, swimwear, underwear and accessories. He delivered an easy collection of basics in a muted palette. Key looks for women included blazers in sweatshirt fabrics, a chic tie-dye shirtdress, a tailored safari dress, khaki judo pants and skinny whitewash jeans with ankle zips.

For men’s, Carrigan said the collection had come “back to Calvin,” with simplicity and utility. While much of the sportswear came in vivid colors, chambray and indigo denim, the jeanswear was a pale acid wash or bleached all the way to white. Even in accessories, including canvas sneakers and boat shoes, the emphasis was on refined casualwear.
