Vineyard Vines might be the quintessential American brand, but it’s stepping outside the box with its first European-inspired collection.
For holiday, the Stamford, Conn.-based brand will debut a women’s capsule collection inspired by cofounders Shep and Ian Murray’s mother’s love of travel. Their mother was a travel writer and “embodied a worldly sense of style which served as inspiration” for the collection, they said.
The line, which includes 20 looks including dresses, skirts, flowy tops and lightweight pants, feature abstract prints, ruffle details and fringe embellishments. The capsule will launch with a private online sales for those on the Vineyard Vines’ e-mail list today. It will then be released the company’s stores. Prices will range from $58 to $248.
The collection is designed and produced in Italy and marks the beginning of a series of internationally inspired collections that will be offered through the spring. There are no plans to offer men’s at this point.
