Patricia Williamson has been named to the new post of executive vice president of global sales at BB Dakota, the Costa Mesa, Calif.-based contemporary apparel firm. She begins Jan. 2.She will be responsible for expanding BB Dakota’s international and wholesale businesses.Most recently, Williamson was senior vice president of global sales at Splendid and Ella Moss, divisions of Delta Galil Industries. Before that she was president of global sales at Elie Tahari.She reports to Gloria Brandes, founder and chief executive officer of BB Dakota, and will be based at the company’s New York showroom at 230 West 38th Street, 18th floor.BB Dakota manufactures contemporary sportswear, dresses, outerwear and loungewear and sells such retailers as Revolve.com, Shopbop.com and Nordstrom. The company launched an e-commerce site, bbdakota.com last September.
