Shanghai’s fashion set turned out on a rainy spring night to celebrate the fifth anniversary of China’s largest commercial photography studio, Central Studios. The evening also served the dual purpose of launching photography magazine Fresh Mirror and raising funds to build libraries in impoverished rural China through the auction of work by five innovative Chinese fashion photographers: Li Qi, Ka XiaoXi, Yin Chao, Fan Xin and Charles Guo.

Among the eclectic outfits worn by attendees, the prevailing trends were distressed denim jackets and tight jeans (often paired together), biker-style leather jackets, high-waist skirts and pants, pants cropped at the ankle, skimpy shorts,  trenches, military looks, white lace and shorts with blazers for men.
