The 11th annual Jazz Age Lawn Party drew thousands of revelers to Governors Island over the weekend, all of them dressed to the nines — or should we say 1929 — in the usual period or period-evoking garb: fringed and ruffled dresses for the flappers and candy-colored suits with bow ties and straw boaters for the gents. Most ladies accessorized with knee socks and hosiery, strings of pearls and elaborate fascinators, trimmed sun hats or cloches — and few left home without their parasols.

The event boasted cocktails, food and live entertainment, which included dance music by host Michael Arenella and his Dreamland Orchestra as well as two tents decorated in different Twenties styles. A collaboration between St. Germain, the party’s sponsor, and Homepolish, the affordable interior design service, each made for totally Instagrammable backdrops.
