The fashion and art crowds converged at the recent reception celebrating designer Jasmin Shokrian’s new monthlong pop-up shop at Los Angeles’ Museum of Contemporary Art. Attendees, including artist/filmmaker Miranda July, stylist Jessica de Ruiter and creative director Emma Reeves, were split into two aesthetic schools. One promoted bright colors and bold prints, while the other espoused colorblocking, often in black-and-white. In some cases, the guests brought along their own works of art: their stylishly dressed children.
