The Spanish capital wore its winter style well during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, where the response to near-freezing temperatures was a quirky array of fur jackets, vests and biker looks.
Black was the color of choice for leather pants, stretch jeans, leggings and even short girly skirts that revealed bare legs.
Also spotted: a cropped top or two.
The hot accessory was oversize scarves, spotted all season across Europe and Stateside and stretched here into stoles, capes and blanket wraps.
Women also sported quilted designer bags, rocker booties and high-heeled pumps, while men layered up with peacoats or plaid-on-plaid styles over fitted shirts and T-shirts.
