While most U.S. cities are bracing for plummeting temperatures, San Francisco is basking in the sun.

On a recent weekend, the city’s residents took to local farmers’ markets to shop, eat and stroll, opting for light knits and functional layers as they wandered the breezy, bustling markets. Graphic and animal prints spiced up outerwear, as did brightly colored scarves and ponchos. Alamo Square, Divisadero Corridor and Hayes Valley were buzzing as locals capitalized on the pleasant winter weather, with some shoppers market-hopping on bicycles.
