Diesel and Mirabello Carrara, the luxury division of Italy’s Caleffi Group, have inked a five-year licensing agreement to globally develop a home textile collection under the Diesel moniker.
The first Diesel Living Home Textile collection will be unveiled at Maison & Objet in Paris in January 2017 and distributed at the brand’s banners and in selected points of sale and department stores around the world.
This is an additional step in building Diesel’s home line, which already includes furniture with Moroso; lamps with Foscarini; kitchen and bathroom with Scavolini; home accessories with Seletti; floor woods with Berti, and tiles with Iris Ceramica.
“This license represents a new extension of the Diesel Living collection,” said Alessandro Bogliolo, chief executive officer of Diesel, part of Renzo Rosso’s OTB group. “Diesel is one of the strongest lifestyle brands in the world and thanks to our passion, energy and innovation we can reach success with our partners also in the home segment.”
Alberto Adriano, ceo of Mirabello Carrara said the agreement will allow the company’s expertise to “elaborate unique collections with products of a very high quality, expressing the values and the innovation that are part of the Diesel brand.”
Caleffi, headquartered in Viadana, near the Northern town of Mantova, was founded in 1962 by Camillo Caleffi and is specialized in the production and distribution of home textiles. It also counts licensing agreements with Roberto Cavalli, Trussardi, Disney, Warner Bros. and Hello Kitty. Caleffi is publicly listed on the Italian Stock Exchange.
