Digital printing at Avanprint.

DuPont Advanced Printing introduced DuPont Artistri Xite S1500 dye sublimation ink on Wednesday, an advancement for the growing digital textile printing market.

DuPont said the innovative ink is now available for original equipment manufacturers and printers and offers superior product consistency, jetting reliability and color print performance.

“This is an ink that delivers what our customers expect from DuPont — exceptional color saturation, printing efficiency and innovation,” said Eric Beyeler, global marketing manager for Digital Inks for DuPont Advanced Printing. “This is the next step as we continue to build our portfolio and meet the growing needs of the digital textile market.”

Artistri Xite S1500 ink is a new digital ink offering for printing on polyester textile substrates. Designed to work with coated dye sublimation papers, the ink meets the needs of quality conscious textile printers in multiple areas, including garment decoration, sportswear and ready-to-wear, point of purchase signage and trade booth construction.

Digital textile printing has been growing in recent years as technological improvements have allowed for greater quality and capabilities, as as an alternative to chemical printing that carries environmental risks.

“Artistri Xite S1500 achieves exceptional color standards with deep, rich blacks and outstanding color saturation,” said Ken Hogrefe, technical marketing manager for DuPont Advanced Printing. “It also offers excellent jetting characteristics, which means less cleaning and ink waste, lower downtime on press and a more trouble-free workflow. The quality control and manufacturing expertise from DuPont ensures that the ink the user purchases will be consistent and predictable batch to batch.”

Earlier this year, DuPont Digital Inks launched new and improved DuPont Artistri inks that will deliver brighter colors, shorter production cycles and higher production throughput for direct-to-garment and roll-to-roll digital printing.

DuPont Advanced Printing brings together leading technologies and products for the printing and package printing industries. Among its other products is Cyrel flexographic plate-making systems in digital and conventional formats, and Izon, which provides anti-counterfeit solutions and document security systems to corporate and government entities.
