MAY LEAVES MOHAIR: Brian May, executive director of the Mohair Council, is leaving after six years. May has accepted a teaching position in the Agricultural Nutrition Department at Angelo Sate University, San Angelo, Tex.
He will continue to serve as a consultant until a successor is found.
Prior to joining the Council, May was a wool and mohair broker in West Texas for two years.
CRYSTAL STAR TO HOECHST CELANESE: William B. Harris, president of Hoechst Celanese Textile Fibers Group, last week accepted the Crystal Star award for design excellence on behalf of the fiber company, from Nesbitt College of Design Arts, Drexel University, Philadelphia. The award was presented at a reception at Hoechst Celanese House, New York, by Nesbitt dean J. Michael Adams for the fiber company’s innovation in fiber technology.
