PELLON TREND SHOW TOUR: Pellon, the interlinings division of Freudenberg Nonwovens, Chelmsford, Mass., is kicking off its annual series of fashion shows highlighting the use of its products on Feb. 8-10 at Arno Restaurant, New York. The presentations are entitled “Trends and Technology Collection.”
The show highlights 1995 fall and winter apparel designed by Dorothy Keysers, a Freudenberg staff designer.
After New York, the show moves on to the Mayan Theater, Los Angeles, Feb. 15; Pellon’s Dallas sales office, Feb. 22-24; an undetermined site in Mexico City, Feb. 28-March 4; the Apparel Manufacturers Institute of Quebec, Montreal, March 7-11; Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science, March 17; Cafe Majestic, San Francisco, March 22, and the Contexpo Show, Miami Beach Convention Center, March 24-25.
Pellon executives said a show in Kansas City is set for April 13, at a site to be selected. A Winston-Salem, N.C., event is also planned, but dates and a site have not been set.
FINKELSTEIN NAMED: Hardwick Knitted Fabrics, New York, a producer of velour and terry cloth, has named Alan Finkelstein sales manager, a new post.
Finkelstein joined the company in 1988 and most recently had been sales director for the Northeast. He absorbs those regional duties in his new post, where he takes on responsibilities for sales on a national basis. He continues to report to Nick Vulpis, president of sales and marketing.
