Junichi Arai was an expert textile designer who gained global recognition for his collaborations with designers such as Issey Miyake and Rei Kawakubo, creating innovative new fabrics. His works are included in the permanent collections of many museums, including the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and Museum of Modern Art in New York. Arai passed away on Sept. 26, 2017.
